what are renders?

>> Transforming a 3D model into high-quality images
Rendering begins with importing a 3D model, often from CAD data (.jt, .step). The artist adds textures and materials, sets up lighting, background, and camera. The software calculates the interaction of light and surfaces to create photorealistic or stylized images. For animations, movements such as rotations, exploded views, or display content are added, which are rendered frame by frame and assembled into videos. The result is an impressive image of the product—long before it physically exists.

why renders?

Do you want high-resolution images for exhibition walls? Explosion animation or a product overview from the same perspective?

+ Flexibility: Easily change perspective, lighting, colors, or materials without new photo shoots.

+ Cost-effective: More economical in the long term, especially for product variations or large series.

+ Time-saving: Products can be visualized before physical prototypes exist.

+ High degree of control: Precise visualization of textures, surfaces, and fine details.

+ Versatile: Perfect for print,

web, animations, AR/VR, and more.

+ Creative freedom: Enables impossible views such as cutaways, internal structures, or exploded views.

that's me Mario Rainer, but everybody calls me Marlo.
Hi, I'm Marlo 👾

... a freelance graphic designer and 3D rendering artist with many years of experience in the industrial sector.
I love making industrial and technical components shine – from product visuals and animations to layouts and websites.

________________ I have been working as a graphic designer at HAINZL Industriesysteme GmbH since 2012. In the early days, I photographed the products and large-scale systems developed by HAINZL. That's when I had an idea 💡—why not dive into the world of 3D? Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of 3D rendering—combined with a creative eye and a passion for details and textures, my images have become impressively realistic. Animating these models takes the presentation of the final product to the next level. My renderings perfectly complement my work as a graphic designer, whether for layouts, video editing, or website creation. I am currently expanding my skills in Unreal Engine 5 – so stay tuned if you want to see even more immersive visuals!
FAQ
what is a rendering? Rendering is the process of generating a realistic or stylized image from a 2D or 3D model using computer software. It brings visual concepts to life in animations, architecture, games, and design.
what's needed for renders? First to know: I don't do 3d modeling. So to start a rendering I will need a 3d model of your product. the product don't even have to exist physically. But it is good to know which colors and surfaces your product have or which materials are used. If your product already exist and you want to promote it with pretty pictures or awesome animations then reference pictures of your product will be helpful for a realistic presentation.
Will my 3D data be treated confidentially? Yes. All 3D data provided will be treated as strictly confidential, used exclusively for the agreed project, and will not be passed on or used for any other purpose. A separate non-disclosure agreement (NDA) can be concluded upon request. I currently hardly use AI for renderings—precision in materials, lighting, and geometry is crucial in the industry. However, AI is extremely useful for improving certain workflows, programming lines of code, and for inspiration.
